The Gender Wage Gap & Bias - What Do We Know and What Can We Do?

The size and existence of the gender wage gap (GWG) is the subject of regular features in media, particularly during women’s history month, and remains a contentious issue both within and outside of organizations. It can be difficult to ascertain just how much gendered bias still exists in today’s organizations—and what companies and managers can do about it. In this session, you will learn how the gender wage gap is measured and conceptualized, and the ways in which gendered bias in other types of rewards and compensation persist in organizations.
In this session, you will then learn how organizational members can work together as allies to counteract these forces. Using this knowledge as a foundation, you will be ready to make equitable decisions around pay and performance in your organization.
